
GFEMHA 2022 AGM
The GFEMHA 2022 AGM will take place on Thursday May 26th,
2022, at 7:00pm in the Coaches Room adjacent to the Minor Hockey Office in the
Kinsmen Arena. The business to be transacted is as follows:
1 Consideration of any proposed amendments to the By-laws
& Constitution of the Association.
Submission of proposed amendments to the Constitution must
be delivered to the Secretary and may only be accepted, (35) thirty- five days
prior to the date of Annual General Meeting, the deadline for submissions is Thursday
April 25th, 2022.
2 Transaction of any business, which relates to the
business of the Meeting.
3 Election of the new Board of Directors of the Association.
This year the Elections will require Ten (10) of the Twelve (12) positions for Administrative Office to be voted on. Normally all positions are for a two-year term however four (4) positions were appointments due to vacancies in Offices after the 2021 AGM. Policy dictates that these appointments will last until the next AGM, at which time the position will be open for election for a term to coincide with the election by-law dictating alternating term lengths, thus the lengths of terms listed below.
Note: All elected positions shall be residents of Fort Erie.
Said positions are:
President … 2-year term
Vice President of Representative Hockey … 2-year term
Secretary … appointment open for election for a 1-year term
Treasurer… 2-year term
Risk Management Director … 2-year term
Mentor/Development Director… 2-year term
Operations Director… 2-year term
Director of Communication and Special Events… appointment open for election for a 1-year term
Director of Volunteer Coordination and Fundraising… appointment open for election for a 1-year term
Director of Select Hockey… appointment open for election for a 1-year term
Nominations for elected positions on the Boards of Directors shall be submitted to the Association Secretary (45) forty-five days prior to the date of the Annual General Meeting, the deadline for submissions is Monday April 11th, 2022. A resume of stated qualifications shall accompany this nomination with validity verifiable.
